Week 9 Written Language. 'Writing from pictures'.

Learning Intention for this lesson is:
To use descriptive language to describe what they see in a picture (as seen above).
Success Criteria is:
* Must use examples of similes, metaphors.
* Must effectively paint a picture in the readers mind through their use of descriptive language.

Below is an example of some work from the 'Back to baSIX' team.

The old man sat on the cold, hard rocks.
The hungry birds dived down into the sea.
The birds fly around looking to land on the ground.

He is getting ready to gaze out of his binoculars.
The hill sits as still as a stone brick statue.

The bright snowy coloured gulls, float gently above the rippling posicle sea.
The old clumsey man geezes at the humongous fire on the mountain.
The mouldy box sits there rotting in the water.

The gulls fly across the beautiful, calm sea as the claws on their feet touch the water.
The mountain sits there like a sleeping giant.

The tall, still mountain stands in the quiet breeze.
The cold water is flowing slowly.
